Andrea Scheschowitsch - Director - Senior Massage Therapist

Andrea Scheschowitsch - Massage therapist
Trained as Physical Educator and Physiotherapist in Brazil. In 2007 I moved to New Zealand, lived in Tauranga for a few years. In 2012 I moved to Auckland and decided to open Release and Unwind Therapeutic Massage with the intent of becoming a go to place for quality massage, initially working on my own and then building it up by taking passionate and skillful therapists on board, in order to offer a wider variety of skills to you.

Some of my favorite techniques are Myofascial Release and Scar Release massage. I also learned over the years that some people respond better to a more relaxing session, as often our busy lives and higher stress level can be the reason behind tension and increasing chances of injuries, tension and pain. During my sessions I will suggest what the best approach for your issues might be but also take your opinion, needs and previous experiences into consideration. It's important for you to feel in control and to be reassured that your input and feedback is valuable, specially when it comes to pressure applied during the session.

I am also developing a growing interest in how mindset and emotions affect the body. After experiencing depression myself, I became more open minded to the effect of alternative therapies and the importance of mindfulness. Having a Physiotherapy background has been great as it gives me a solid background for the work I do, but my own life experiences have lead me to also work in a more intuitive manner.

Yumie Kohara - Senior Massage Therapist

Yumie Kohara - Massage Therapist
I'm originally from Japan and have been a massage therapist in New Zealand for over 8 years. My Diploma in Aromatherapy, Certificates in Myofascial Release alongside with my hands on experience shaped me into a resourceful therapist, deep tissue massage being one of my top skills. I aim to understand your current issues, seeing the body as a whole, not just the area of pain and providing a tailored session for your needs on the day. I believe self care is important so will suggest what you can do at home to help with your areas of concern. Therapies provided include: Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Therapeutic, Myofascial Release and Reflexology.

I firmly believe that during the treatment, there is an energy exchange between the clients, the universe and myself. When this energy exchange is flowing well, the clients gets the best result in a more holistic way, affecting body, mind, soul.

Becoming a massage therapist has changed myself and the view of life itself. I became more passionate about our human body, health, diet and the balance between body, mind and soul. Our body is sacred like a temple, treat it with respect and gratefulness.

Zane Tippett - Senior Massage Therapist

Zane Tippett - Massage Therapist
I have been working as a massage therapist for the last 8 years. Studied at the New Zealand College of Massage in Auckland, graduating with a Diploma in Health Science - Therapeutic Massage in 2012.

During this time I enjoyed working with a wide range of people, from body builders and athletes to office workers. My specialities are deep tissue and sports massage.

I am also a qualified personal trainer and this complements my work as a massage therapist as I am qualified to help my clients correct muscle imbalances by prescribing strengthening exercises for weak muscles, and stretches to lengthen short muscles. Jock Jones - Massage Therapist

Zane Tippett - Massage Therapist
I graduated with a Diploma in Relaxation and Wellness Massage from the NZ College of Massage in 2019. My specialty clinical interests are Deep Tissue and Myofascial Release.

Understanding how the body works and how it can be introduced to new ways of being are the two things that drive my practice. Seeing my clients experience the benefits of massage — the freedom it offers in the release of tension, and the way it enables people to enjoy their lives more – are incredibly satisfying.

I like to discuss with my clients what’s contributing to their pain or tension, and will work with you to build a session plan that holistically takes those external, physical factors into account. I am always mindful of the big picture. In a stressed state we can become distanced from our bodies.

Therapeutic massage brings people towards homeostasis by affecting the nervous system from the fight or flight mode to that of rest and digest where we can learn again to be present, calm and in the moment. The intention of the therapist can greatly affect the quality of a massage. My mindfulness while giving massage means a strong and empathetic focus on my client’s needs.

Pam George - Massage Therapist

Pam George - Massage Therapist
In 1981 I graduated from the NZ School of Massage with a Diploma of Excellence in General Massage and in 1985 with a Sports Massage Diploma at Wellpark College.  I worked in this industry for 8 years until my life took a different path.

Massage, health and wellness have always been my passion so I was happy to return to the industry in 2018.  Since returning I have studied and obtained certificates in Myofascial Release Therapy and Micro Fascial Unwinding and find these to be an extremely powerful and effective way of healing, not only the body but the mind.

Prior to your massage I will discuss your issues & work with you intuitively to treat your specific needs.  My aim is to restore structure and balance, and in turn help the body to heal itself.  When we are injured physically this causes local dysfunction, but also has a ripple effect impact into the body as a whole. My greatest pleasure is being able to help alleviate pain, tension and stress in my clients so they can live a more balanced life.

I offer the following massages: Therapeutic, Myofascial Release. Micro Fascial Unwinding, De-Stressing, Relaxation and Aromatherapy.
